After a lot of negative headlines in recent times – the effects of the US mortgage crisis are not forgotten – the financial sector is now heading in the right direction again. The last phase for public comments on the GRI Financial Services Sector Supplement is over and experts expect prompt publication of the final version. The FSSS’s integration into SoFi – PE INTERNATIONAL’s corporate sustainability management software – is prepared and will be ready for launch as soon as the sector supplement is out.
As previous versions were built on the G2 guidelines, the final FSSS will be integrated into the G3 guidelines and includes sector specific performance indicators for banks and insuran-cecompanies. The basic performance indicators from G3 and the standard disclosures on management approach are interpreted in a sectorial context, setting a solid basis for identifying future risks.
